TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

To improve the overall athletic ability, strength, speed, agility, quickness, and resiliency of the athlete. Not only is it the mission to improve the physical attributes, but we also want to improve the lives of every athlete that walks into the weight room. We want to create better husbands/wives, sons/daughters, brothers/sisters, and overall better citizens.

Windermere Prep Athletic Department Introduces the PERCH Platform to Enhance Athletic Performance and Educational Opportunities in the Weight Room

A Unified Vision for Athletics and Academics

The integration of PERCH into Windermere Prep’s athletic and academic programs exemplifies our commitment to fostering a well-rounded educational experience. This platform not only enhances athletic performance but also brings interdisciplinary learning to life, encouraging collaboration across subjects and helping students connect STEM concepts to real-world applications.

The PERCH Platform represents a significant investment in our students and student-athletes, providing them with state-of-the-art tools to reach their full potential both on and off the field. Windermere Prep is proud to lead the way in embracing technology that enhances the student experience and prepares them for future success.

Head of Sports Performance, Vincent Martins, Described this opportunity by saying, “Perch is the first step in creating a top-of-the-line experience for the students at Windermere Preparatory school (WPS). Providing a personalized experience for each student athlete is a crucial part of the culture here at WPS. Perch will allow us to do just that, programming for sport, season, and  injury limitations is vital to a successful sports performance program. Intent is typically what drives positive growth in the weight room, with perch, we can directly monitor loading, bar speed, and technical deficiencies. We can also work hand-in-hand with the athletic training department to devise return to play programs for our athletes and monitor their stress levels and adjust load accordingly. Perch will also help bridge the gap between athletes and students by allowing us to implement lesson plans in the academic courses through kinesiology, physics, and science programs. Perch is a tremendous addition to the school and I am excited to provide this experience to our students”.

I had the pleasure of working with Vinny for over a year. From his first day, he showed the ability to control a group and make a personal connection with athletes of varying demographics. Vinny is a life-long learner who continually strives to provide the best training and atmosphere for all his athletes. I am better for my time working with him and anyone or any athlete who has that chance to train with him, will become the best version of themselves.

Micah Kurtz

- Former director of sports performance at Windermere Preparatory School

- Current President of Oak Hill Academy

Vinny was a great asset to the strength and conditioning department when I took him on as an intern during the spring of his senior year. Vinny was attentive during our education sessions and during all training sessions. Vinny is adaptable in that he can seamlessly move from different sports with different culture and can effectively coach men and women.

Greg Cox

-Director of Sports Performance at AvolveSports

Vinny was a major component to our department. He took a big role in leading our younger coaches, developing all the athletes he worked with and coming into work with a positive attitude. Having him on staff was a true pleasure!

Ryan Ho

-Former Director of Athletic Performance at William Penn University

-Current Performance Coach at Future Fit
